I've spent 28 years filming rock stars and TV shows. But the most interesting stories aren't on Netflix. They're in your business.

I'm Jeremy Mason, founder of MP Video Production and a video strategist with 28+ years in broadcast.

I help expert-led and regulated businesses — including financial professionals, aesthetic practitioners, consultants and course creators — turn what they know into clear, credible video people will watch, understand and trust.

That might mean working out the strategy, training you or your team to create it, or producing it for you. If you've held back because video feels awkward, risky — or because you think your business is simply too boring for video — you're in the right place.

28 years on set. One problem I couldn't ignore.

I’ve spent 28+ years behind cameras for the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, NBC and Netflix.

I’ve worked on programmes including Strictly Come Dancing, Britain’s Got Talent and The Piano, as well as concert films for artists including Deep Purple, Alice Cooper and Bring Me The Horizon.

But over the last few years, I kept seeing the same problem — particularly with consultants, financial professionals, aesthetic practitioners, course creators and other businesses built around expertise.

People with genuine expertise often struggle to turn what they know into clear, useful video.

They know their subject.

They’ve built businesses, solved difficult problems and accumulated years of experience.

But when the camera comes out, suddenly the questions start:

  • “What do I actually say?”
  • “Why would anyone want to watch this?”
  • “Isn’t my business too boring for video?”

Usually, the problem isn’t a lack of interesting things to say.

It’s recognising which parts of your knowledge matter to the people you’re trying to reach — and turning them into something worth watching.

That’s the problem MP Video Production exists to solve.

You don’t have to take my word for any of it. It’s all on IMDb.

Your business isn't too boring for video.

You don’t need to dance.

You don’t need to chase trends.

And you don’t need to turn yourself into a full-time content creator.

You need to know what to say, who you’re saying it to and why the video exists.

Then you need to communicate it in a way that feels credible, natural and like you.

The interesting stories in an expert business usually aren’t obvious Hollywood-style stories.

They’re in:

  • the questions customers keep asking you
  • the problems you’ve learned how to solve
  • the mistakes you help people avoid
  • the things you’ve learned after years in your industry
  • the decisions your customers are nervous about making
  • the things you understand that they don’t — yet

That’s what makes your expertise useful.

And useful is interesting.

Broadcast Standards + Business Strategy

Making something look professional isn’t enough.

Neither is clever marketing if the finished video damages the credibility you’re trying to build.

I bring both disciplines together.

For the last five years, I’ve combined my broadcast production experience with marketing strategy, helping more than 50 businesses, business owners and course creators use video more effectively.

Not to make their businesses look like television.

To bring the same discipline to the things that matter:

A clear message. A reason to watch. Credibility on camera. And a purpose behind every video.

1. Message before camera.

Before anything gets filmed, we work out who the video is for, what they need to hear, what question we’re answering and what should happen after they watch.

That gives every video a clear purpose.

The business goal dictates the video — not the camera.

2. Direction, not just recording

Most people aren’t professional presenters — and shouldn’t be expected to become one when a camera appears.

I’ve spent 28+ years helping people feel comfortable and communicate clearly on camera.

I’ll help you sound natural, credible and like yourself — at your best.

3. Production that serves the message

Good lighting, sound and camerawork matter, but they shouldn’t be the thing your audience notices.

Their job is to remove distractions and help people concentrate on you, your expertise and what you’re saying.

Professional production should increase trust — not get in the way of it.

Senior-led. Built around the job.

MP Video Production is deliberately lean.

You work directly with me, but I don’t work alone. Behind me is a trusted network of camera operators, lighting crews, sound recordists, editors, producers and other broadcast specialists I’ve worked with over 28 years in television.

I build the team around the job — from a small interview crew to a full multi-camera production.

That means you get the right people for the project, without paying for permanent agency staff you don’t need.

One senior point of accountability. A production team that scales around the job.

There isn't one right way to work with video.

Some clients want me to take the whole thing off their hands. Some want to build the skills themselves. Others already have people who can make videos — they're just not clear what they should be making or why.

The right approach depends on where you are now.

I want you to create it

For businesses such as financial firms, aesthetic clinics and established expert-led companies that want someone to develop the message and handle production from start to finish.

I want to learn how

For consultants, course creators, experts and business owners who want to become more confident on camera and create credible video themselves.

I need the strategy

For established businesses and marketing teams that can already produce content but need clarity around what to make, which questions to answer and how video fits into the customer journey.

Jeremy Mason is the founder of MP Video Production and a video strategist with more than 28 years’ experience in broadcast television and video production.

He has worked for broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, NBC and Netflix, alongside helping businesses use video more strategically for marketing, trust and authority.

MP Video Production helps expert-led and regulated businesses turn their knowledge into clear, credible video that people will watch, understand and trust.

That can include video strategy, training and coaching, or fully managed video production.

We primarily work with businesses where expertise and trust play an important role in the buying decision.

That includes professional services, aesthetic professionals, financial and regulated businesses, consultants, course creators and other expert-led organisations.

We don’t start with the camera.

We start by asking who the video is for, what they need to hear, what question the video needs to answer and what should happen after they watch.

The production then serves that strategy.

Most expert businesses aren’t short of interesting things to say. The challenge is recognising which parts of your knowledge are useful and relevant to the people you’re trying to reach.

Customer questions, common mistakes, difficult decisions, misconceptions and lessons learned can all become valuable video content.

Useful is interesting.

No.

Most of the people we work with aren’t professional presenters.

Jeremy has spent more than 28 years directing people on camera and can help with messaging, structure, delivery and confidence so you come across naturally and credibly — rather than feeling as though you’re performing.
